Open Days

By hosting a number of open days, we give parents and prospective pupils the opportunity to visit the school and take a look around.

Appointments can be made throughout the year for those transferring into the area by calling the school office on 01225 782223 to make an appointment to come see the school.

Appeals

Firstly, if you wanted to secure a place for your child at our school and were not successful, we are very sorry. We know how hard this is.

If you are considering appealing the decision, our Head teacher, Pauline Orchard, would like the opportunity to meet with you (on the phone during current pandemic) prior to you submitting your appeal. Please read the letter below and follow the instructions to book your appointment:

(letter A to be linked here)

Following the meeting, you will be able to complete and submit your appeal paperwork if you choose to proceed. All the information you will need can be found below.

Infant Class Size Laws

Please note that there is a law in this country about the size of infant (age 4-7) classes and that it is illegal, unless under exceptional circumstances, for a class to be larger than 30. At our school we take 15 children in EYFS. This enables are mixed age classes at KS1 and KS2 to be 30. The only reason an appeal in an infant class size case would be successful is if it is proved that the admissions authority had made an error or not followed admission procedures correctly.

Please do not hesitate to contact our Pupil Services Officer, Cath Bridge at [email protected] if you require further information or have any questions about the information provided.
