Eight Academy Trust of Melksham (ATOM) schools have become part of The White Horse Federation Multi-Academy Trust. The schools officially joined the Federation on 1st August 2018.
The former ATOM schools join the growing number of primary, secondary, and special schools that comprise The White Horse Federation. The Federation’s schools, located in Wiltshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Gloucestershire, all benefit from the shared resource and expertise the Federation has to offer, which has led to the Trust having an enviable track record of school improvement.
The White Horse Federation has a growing reputation for working with underperforming schools to improve outcomes for children. With a well-established network of collegial support and robust infrastructure for the sharing of best practice, the Federation is well-suited to raising the standards of the former ATOM schools.
All eight schools will be supported and challenged to improve by The White Horse Federation’s Regional Director of Wiltshire Schools, Simon Cowley. An experienced school leader and National Leader of Education, Simon Cowley has an outstanding track record. For the last four years, Simon has worked with the Federation’s school leaders to raise standards and deliver better outcomes for pupils.
In welcoming the former ATOM schools, Dr Nicholas Capstick OBE, CEO of The White Horse Federation, said: “Over the years, we have grown in numbers, moving from strength to strength on our journey to improve education for pupils. We believe that the inclusion of the ATOM schools will magnify this success, enabling our schools to achieve more together than they would alone.”
