Christmas Market
A special thanks goes to The Friends of St Mary’s for organising a successful Christmas Fayre on Dec 1st. It was a brilliant way to start the Christmas celebrations raising £300 for the school to put towards our new library books. If you feel you have the time to come into school to listen to children read on a regular basis we would love to hear from you – please contact Mrs Bridge in the school office for details.
Nativity
The end of term is always a busy time for the staff and children – Mrs Blankley directed our nativity play this year with children from Willow and Beech performing for family and friends. The audience had lots of lovely comments about our children and the quality of their performance.
Christmas Church Service
Finally, this week we held our end of term service in the church led by Rev Andrew. Y6 children narrated the Christmas story with Y5 leading the singing of carols. A huge thanks to all the parents who took time off at this busy time of year to support the school.
Aladdin
The children enjoyed a performance of Aladdin in December – this enabled the children to experience a live show as part of their speaking and listening curriculum.
Carols at the Old Parsonage
On 18th December Oak class visited The Old Parsonage to sing carols to the residents.
