What an adventure!
Last week, Oak Class travelled to Osmington Bay in Dorset for their class residential to PGL and had a fantastic time there. We had several goals in mind before the trip: push ourselves, try something new and have fun!
To get our adrenaline pumping, we went on the Giant Swing, the Climbing Wall and the Zip Wire, where we jumped into harnesses and found different ways of leaving the ground! We learnt how to work as a team during Buggy Building (think The Flintstones!) and Raft Building (including getting into the sea to test our rafts out!), and played games to develop our communication in the Tunnel Trails.
One evening, we played a giant game of Ambush (think Hide and Seek in the dark!), which was great fun! Finally, we spent some time exploring the coastline of Dorset, which links with our topic on Coasts, and even went hunting for pirate ‘gems’ on the pebble beach!
All in all, an amazing time was had by all of the children. A big thank you goes out to Mr Laws and Miss Wise who gave up their time to take the children on the trip.
